Medeama SC dominated the game in midfield by conquering the defending champions Owusu Jackson and Michael Akuffu.

Akwasi Donsu was the man who excellently directed traffic in midfield for Coach Tom Strand’s team

The Miners took the lead in the first half through danger man Akwasi  Donsu’s strike when he beat goalkeeper Joseph Addo to brighten the 2011 champions hope of winning the ultimate for the second time at the expense of Asante Kotoko.

Few minutes later, Ahmed Simba Toure cancelled Medeama’s lead with a superb header.

The question after Ahmed Toure’s equalizer by the numerous fans was who would be crowned champions but Medeama SC proved more purposeful and saw their hard work rewarded when substitute Bismark Oppong scored the winner for Medeama SC.
